Peacock Guest House allows you to revisit the past of Nepal as you spend time in a tastefully restored house in 1970 that offers a pleasant courtyard with a café where you can relax and recover from a long, exciting and dusty day in Bhaktapur.The premises also boast Himalayan Wood Carving Masterpieces Workshop along with Himalayan Bakery which allows you to start your day with delicious food in the thick of heavy culture. You can mingle with people or just spend a quiet time in the courtyard that connects the guest room, café, and workshop.

Kabi Kotha (Basic Standard Room)

Our 4 Kabi Kotha (translates to Poet’s room) are small back rooms for those who want quiet and privacy. It comes an attic room with traditional slanted ceiling. All furniture have been made locally using Nepali wood at Himalayan Wood Carving Masterpieces.

Kabi Kotha is furnished with 1 queen size bed and the hotel’s exclusive antique collections as all in other rooms. It also comes with small attached bathroom.

Varanda Kotha (Double Standard Room)

Varanda Kotha converts into space with balcony. Only 3 in the hotel, Varanda Kotha are spacious rooms suitable for small families, with balconies overlooking the inner courtyard, the woodcarving workshop and the café. Wake up to the ringing bells’ melodies, followed by morning prayers led by a priest at the shrine in the courtyard. The rooftop is just a few stops away couple of stairs.

Varanda Kotha has limited furnishings with 1 queen-size bed, supported by a (optional) small bed. It comes with a shower, as well.

Baithak (Deluxe Room)

Baithak translates into a space devoted to meetings and festivities, where members of the family experience auspicious opportunities. Adorned with handcrafted windows, enjoy Baithak ‘s unmatched view of Dattatreya Square while sitting in the traditional sitting room. You can also see a courtyard that houses a 1500-year-old shrine from the other side.

The Baithak can comfortably accommodate up to 3 people. It is minimally furnished with a queen size bed and traditional Sukul carpet made of elephant grass, along with traditional vessels and pots made of ceramic. The bathroom is connected and has the necessary facilities.

Peacock Guest House II

A recent addition to Peacock Guest House, Peacock Apartments is.Its a modern building with traditional touches. It also includes 6 private rooms with attached toilets, a shared kitchen, a laundry area and a lounge area both in the ground floor and on the rooftop.The place is a peaceful local area inside and one can wake up with the local people’s daily activities.
