Nepal Korea Friendship Municipality Hospital was established in 1999 in the name of Kyung Hee Nepal Health Center with the purpose of providing various health services to Bhaktapur people and neighboring districts in particular.
It is their motto to provide the preventive , curative, promotional and rehabilitative health service. Passing through the various stages from 1999, the decision taken by the committee’s bill under the cabinet of the Nepal Government on the date of 2009/09/14 gave it the opportunity to be a 50-bedded general hospital.
KOICA (Korea International Corporation Agency) has played a vital role in achieving this process by providing financial and technical support to stand as a well-equipped Bhaktapur District Hospital. KOICA, Rose Club Korea, and Madhyapur Thimi Municipality are making common efforts to develop the status of this hospital and executive committees are committed to making it a community-run hospital according to the people ‘s hospital.
