In order to address the growing need for high-quality, all-encompassing education for children aged five to nineteen, a group of prominent Nepalese Educators and Businessmen saw the need to construct a semi-residential school in Nepal that met worldwide standards. The result was the founding of Kathmandu World School (KWS) at Suryabinayak – 7, Gundu, Bhaktapur.
The school has a top-notch infrastructure supported by cutting-edge amenities in a tranquil setting that promotes an exceptional learning environment. The 55 Ropanis of land, which is abundantly green and beautiful, are divided up into structures and facilities.
The project’s first phase of construction is about finished, and the remaining portions are expected to be finished by 2022. When the school is completely functioning, it will be able to accommodate 1,390 students, 400 of whom will be housed in the school dormitory.
Beginning with Grades 1, 3, 4, and 5, the Academic Year 2075 BS (2018–19) saw the start of both the Elementary School and Secondary School Academic Programs (Grade 11 Science and Management). With the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) of the UK for the Elementary Level (Grades 1-5), the National Curriculum for the Middle School (Grades 6-9), and the National Education Board’s Grade 11 and 12 program in Science, Management, Humanities, and Law, the school now offers a full-fledged High School Programs from Grades 1 (One) to 12 (Twelve). KWS is now genuinely international in every way thanks to the addition of the Cambridge International A-Level starting in the Academic Year 2021.
