The opulence of Hotel Heritage is enhanced by intricate wood carvings, unique sculptures, bronze crafts, terracotta works, and Mithila paintings. The hotel was constructed using century-old Rana palace bricks, 17th-century stones, and salvaged wood and antiques dating back to the 16th century. The hotel’s furnishings are all handcrafted by local artisans, with the majority of the wood reclaimed from traditional Newari homes, Rana royal palaces, and their residences. Without a doubt, Hotel Heritage embodies aristocratic elegance, sophisticated architecture, and Newari delicacy, and has an unbreakable relationship to the old city’s rich heritage.

Every nook and crevice of the establishment has a tale to tell, a history to preserve, and is adorned with the superb craftsmanship of our local artists. Handmade clay bricks with Newari calligraphy from a royal mansion adorn the hotel’s interior, while antique marbles and cobblestoned flooring from a 400 year old royal castle cover the entryway.
90% of the furniture inside the hotel is created from salvaged woods from old Newari houses and royal castles and the antique accessories displayed around the establishment all date back to 16 th Century. In a magnificent setting, we provide our guests with a sense of true Nepali culture and hospitality.
