Cycle Connect Bhaktapur is a social cycling team that brings together all cyclists in and around Bhaktapur. Our major motto is “Pedestrian and Cycle Friendly City,” which translates to “Pedestrian and Cycle Friendly City.” Bhaktapur is a beautiful medieval town that is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with rich architecture and a vibrant culture. It is surrounded by beautiful hills. The roads in this ancient town were primarily built before the 18th Century and were not meant to accommodate modern modes of transportation such as automobiles. However, due to rising urbanization, this historic city is gradually being overrun by motorcycles and automobiles. As a result, we host a variety of activities to help slow down the transformation and encourage bike culture. Our goal is to make this historic city and the hills surrounding it a World-Class Cycling destination.
Connecting Bicycles From ordinary cycle commuters to hard trail riders and even extreme cycle sports, Bhaktapur is a group for all cycle riders and enthusiasts from and around Bhaktapur. We’re all working together to promote cycling in Bhaktapur.” पैदल र पेडल मैत्री शहर” (Pedestrian and Cycle Friendly City).
We host a weekly Saturday ride event called “CyCon Weekly,” as well as special events like “CyCon Special,” a monthly cycle ride around Bhaktapur called “fRIDEy The First” on the first Friday of each Nepali month, and other workshops to promote cycling culture.
