Shree Panchami-Basanta Panchami

श्री पञ्चमी
वसन्त पञ्चमी (सरस्वती पूजा)
सरस्वती मया दृष्टा वीणापुस्तक धारिणी ।
हंसवाहन संयुक्ता विधादानं करोतु मे ॥

Presenting a simple Nepali translation of these hymns of Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of Music, Knowledge and Education, we wanted to make today’s Saraswati Pooja special article Shree Ganesh. Mother Saraswati, who is as bright as the moon, adorned with a white robe, a harp in her hand and a gift-giving crystal garland in her hand, a goddess seated on a white lotus flower, worshiped by Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, tear down our ignorance and give us pure knowledge.

Saraswati Puja or ShreePanchami or Basant Panchami is a special day celebrated today by worshiping Saraswati, the epitome of knowledge and music. It is believed that the spring season will start from today. From this heart-wrenching winter and the drizzle of water, now welcome to the Kuhu Kuhu of Koiali and the seropher of spring, the king of warmth.

Vedic Sanatan Hindu rites have very practical dimensions. These rites have become an integral part of Nepalese. Plough, oxen, soil, plants, dogs, including sisterhood, tools and food, today is the day to worship creation and knowledge.

It is clearly mentioned in the Brahma Bhivarta Purana that Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge, art, words, science and thought, is worshiped by everyone today. After getting up in the morning, after bathing in the morning, the urn is set up with a clean cloth and the deities Ganesha, Vishnu, Shiva etc. are worshiped respectively, the sun is also worshiped and Saraswati is worshiped.

In schools today, there is a special atmosphere. In the Terai, grains, liquor  and other fruits of colorful and juicy weaves are distributed as Prasadi. In some schools, royal banquets have been organized with the active participation of the students. Many schools today are adorned with colorful pylons, Ashoka tree leaves or banana poles and bamboo entrances.

Another highlight for the students today is to be able to enter the school without daily school uniforms, the largo of colorful students in different outfits can be seen in many school premises today.

In Kathmandu, fairs are held at various Saraswati temples such as Nirbarahi, Lazimpat, Swayambhu, Nilsaraswati of Garidhara, Lele of Lalitpur, etc.,In Bhaktapur Saraswati temple Nag-Pokhari Thalachhen and Bhelukhel along to Jeetpur  Lhasapake Sashudyo (Manjushree Sthan).while gatherings are held at many temples and central schools across Nepal. The idol of Saraswati in Pashupati which is also worshiped by Buddhists as Manjushree . Special worship is performed on the same idol today.

Speaking in the context of Nepal, we Nepalese certainly do not live in a really small environment, most of the government schools across the Kingdom of Nepal have a small or large temple of Saraswati somewhere. It is important to look at Goddess Saraswati as an addiction to human learning rather than to Hinduism or culture. Regardless of our religion or belief, we can take Saraswati and the present day as a fulfillment of our relationship and knowledge.

Many of us may have started the alphabet today, on the other hand, today is the day of the creators. On this special day of worshiping your creations and words, best wishes to all the creators of Saraswati Pooja, may the door of this creation remain forever. The tools of creation are worshiped today: pen, ink and paper May the darkness of the society be removed by the light of creation.

Today’s Basant Panchami is celebrated by the Muslim community as the Sufi Basant in various documents and Muslim legends since the 12th century. Nizamuddin was deeply saddened by the untimely death of Takuddin, the nephew of the then Fakir Nizamuddin of Delhi. Since then, this day has always been celebrated as the Sufi spring at Nizamuddin Auliya’s Dargah in Delhi.

You are a person of any religion or culture or world, but we all need genre, we all need to appreciate creation and creator.

The writer’s ink should not run out, the speaker’s voice should be correct and the viewer’s eye should be open. Let the alphabets and word configurations from A to Z always accompany us in expressing knowledge, let us continue to use the letters ABCD etc., let the grammar accompany us, let all the melodies of music and all the juices of acting accompany us. The main thing is to be full of life with the juice of formulate, the glory of Mother Saraswati.

National Book Day is also celebrated every year on the day of Saraswati Puja as it is the day of  Saraswati Goddess of Knowledge  and the beginning of many people’s letters and the first interview with pen book, ink, pencil and book. Only a few years ago, the National Federation of Book and Stationery Entrepreneurs demanded the government to declare Saraswati Puja as National Book Day.FNJ celebrates National Book Day with various programs on its own initiative. In the pages and letters of every book, there is the abode of Goddess Saraswati, the grace and mercy of Goddess Saraswati, always remain in the Nepali alphabet, grammar and vocabulary. There should never be a shortage of Knowledge in this land.
